Yes, you should make time for remote networking. Many entrepreneurs and business owners and ‘thought leaders’ spend minimal to no time networking remotely.

However, there are a few people doing remote networking rather well. I occasionally receive some lovely messages on LinkedIn from connections. Strengthen the relationship with your current network, and make sure you are clear on who you want to be part of it.

Write down a list of 50 people you want in your circle and allocate 10 mins to connect with them by sending a message to 5 people every week to touch base, even better if you can provide some interesting or useful content tailored to them. Ask a question, connect two people together, as it will open up to new opportunities.
